I live in this little bubble world of Singapore as an art director for a web design company. In my tiny universe between reality and dreams, I create websites for real people with real companies. Some are small and some are big, and I’m happy to get the chance to weave colors and shapes for their online dreams.

Web Design
  • True Yoga Website

    True Yoga

    http://www.trueyoga.com.sg/

The company’s goal for this re-design is to improve the art direction and content management of their website. They also wanted to easily feature their promotions and advertisements from their partner companies.

I used a very subtle airbrushed combinations of their corporate colour, purple and added hints of periwinkle. I wanted to communicate a feeling of lightness and air, a design element that would communicate the air that one breathes as one Yoga practitioner breathes their “Ohm”.

  • MDIS Full CMS Website

    MDIS Full CMS Website

    http://www.mdis.edu.sg/

MDIS is one of the biggest private schools in Singapore. The design challenge that I need to address is to create a design that would be usable for all the different colleges. Frequent updates on courses, enrollment schedules, news and events are important information that needs to be considered in the design planning. As a full-CMS website, the client will have full access to all the content of the website. Keeping a simple design structure and using font colour and sizes as the main structure of the design have kept the website clean and beautiful, long after we have handed over the full maintenance of the website to our clients.

  • NAMS - Gambling Manual Microsite

    NAMS – Gambling Manual

    http://nams.org.sg/workbook/

The National Addictions Management Service or NAMS approached our company, Forecepts, to participate in a pitch design project for their online gambling manual. The design brief is to create a fun and engaging design that will collect datas of the user’s gambling patterns and habits. It aims to be a self-evaluation tool that will help the users determine the severity of their gambling patterns and propose solutions to combat this behavioral addiction.

My design proposal uses one-page layout that expands and collapse upon clicking on each chapter. These specific chapters address different aspects of gambling. Questionnaires and radio-button style survey forms are used to gather specific information. Personal scores and possible solutions are presented at the end of the survey. My design have won this project.

    SA Tours Singapore

  • Forest Concepts Pte. Ltd.

    Forecepts Homepage

    URL http://forecepts.com/

The design direction is to create a modern, clean and streamlined look. The company prides itself in its reputation as a solutions provider for complicated back-end programming services. This idea must blend well with our creative and design capabilities.

    URL http://www.psb-academy.edu.sg/

We won the pitch design for this project back in 2008. This is the first design project that I have done for a full CMS-driven content, wherein the client will have full access to its contents. They wanted to have a clean, fun and colorful interface that is easy to navigate and use. I have created a lot of icons for their website and this is definitely one of my favorite design portfolio.

  • Dance Ensemble Singapore

    Dance Ensemble Singapore 1

    URL http://www.des.org.sg/index.php

The ensemble has been a key player in promoting dance in Singapore. I want to communicate the concept of dance in the form of softly flowing waves, of shadows and highlights.

  • Dance Ensemble Singapore

    Dance Ensemble Singapore 2

    URL http://www.des.org.sg/index.php

I used Adobe Photoshop in the creation of these billowing waves, framing the photos of the dancers.

URL: http://potterhaus.com – ONLINE PRODUCT CATALOGUE

Potterhaus approached our team and asked us to design an online catalogue that will showcase their brand as Singapore’s leading designer and manufacturer of glassware for the Food and Beverage industry.

  • Potterhaus Singapore

    Potterhaus 2

URL: http://potterhaus.com – ONLINE PRODUCT CATALOGUE

The challenge is to create a design that is premium because their key products cater to high-end hotels and restaurants. I want to highlight their glassware as “jewel pieces” and I turned to jewelry websites for inspiration.

  • Potterhaus Singapore

    Potterhaus 3

URL: http://potterhaus.com – ONLINE PRODUCT CATALOGUE

I was greatly challenged by the mediocre quality of their photos that we will be using for the homepage but was also inspired by the result. I have used a lot of manipulation in Adobe Photoshop to achieve this “gem-like” quality for each featured image.

  • Pitch Design

Pitch Design for Oase Water Technology

    Pitch Design

This is a pitch design project for a Oase, Living Water. They specialize in water technologies such as water fountain designs, lake management and water gardens. I want to highlight the element of water in their home page. I created a digital illustration of a water fountain using Adobe Photoshop and used a lot of “vivid light” effect to shed some magical glow unto the image.
