Hi there. I’m Jessette Dayate,
an illustrator and web designer.
When I was a little girl,
I’m greatly fascinated
about the magic
of crayons. I still do.
This site pays homage
to the humble crayon.
A life shared with children
(and grown-ups who
refuse to grow old).
A small but a colorful,
textured life.
If you ever passed along Orchard Road during night time, Orchard Central’s psychedelic lights illuminate the skyline. This new web design echoes the dynamism and playful interplay of their colour and lights. The rollover effect at the main navigation and the orange and pink small squares on the homepage and inner pages is a direct interpretation of the mall’s night lights.
Every Christmas tree has its own unique charm that reflects the characteristic of the people who took the time to lovingly and joyfully decorate these trees. It’s the sheer enjoyment of decorating this symbolic tree that has inspired me to create this concept for Forecepts’ 2009 Christmas eCard. I have worked on the illustrations for all the elements; the trees, baubles, socks, candy cane and the gifts at the bottom of the box.
